I have read that if you put on v3 it is best to do a factory reset first and then put it on as it does not cause any problems what do you think

I also thing justold might need to reset to factory he is saying it is scrambled now which leads me to wonder if the emu is on or not

Doing a factory reset then redoing the codes with emu on solved the issue and we are now watching the football.


So the factory reset solved the issue.

gentle men. i have just downloaded a file claiming to be v3.01 i know there are a few copies of the 3.00 claiming to be upgrades but i what i dont know is how to tell if theres a difference. would anyone like a copy or will i just wait till ye get it, then i'll definitely know its genuine ?

 

Ive just got in from work where one of the lads has been supplying starview boxes for the other lads. The last time they all went down he reflashed the lot. When I saw him today I askedhim what he flashed them with. He said "KOREA1" (or something like that). Ive never heard of it but he said he got it from the manufacturers website. Has anyone heard of it because he is a bit of a bullsh***er, but all boxes seem to be working with no probs, and he flashed em all last week!

Dont know if you remember yesterday i was saying about the 2 v3.00e files i had used one not a single glitch and the other bad channel every hour or so-as you said i compared the names of the files and they are identical! Only thing i did notice was when i flashed the one from the old page 141 it had the c: documents my settings etc etc before the starview 20070527 bit would this make a difference? Cheers

 

No not really as this could be where the file was stored any way which file have you got on the box now and are you having any problems is your box real or clone do you know we ask this of everyone just to compare problems found thanks

 

just wondering, dos anyone know about the starview 2 "the box" or the starview pvr as im thinking of upgrading. is there more or less firmware available and d ye think they'd be worth it.

 

Ahh I thought so! No Ferg he hasnt conned me Ive had mine for ages now(well before he started selling em) and have done all my own updates, but I dont fancy v.3 until its bug free so Im happy sticking codes in every now and then!

 

Keep away from the "TheBox" this is just another glorified starview box in a new wrapper brought out by the person who released the v2.60 file that killed the other boxes the rest is up to you

 

Some people have some haven't it is really up to the individuals themselves how long does it take to input the code manually 3 to 4 Min thats all
