I am in an NTL area and my Mam's house is in a Chorus area so its her box I'm actually looking to sort out. So if you can help me out for the chorus one it would be mucho appreciated my friend!

It sounds like your mother's area is mmds and as she has ch**** as a provider I am afraid it wont work. Ch**** works on a DBT conax decrypt system and the starview cannot work on it. N** mmds operates on nagra1 and the starview uses the rom10 part of this and therefore can decode N** mmds.

Sorry for the bad news. Maybe a dbox might do with a proper image set up, but I cannot say if it will you will have to ask someone in the dbox threads.

can anybody help if i update 255 and 300 to 400 can it change provider id from n*l to c+w as i have not touched channel data.

 

sound missing on star***w boxes which i can fix,but i also noticed sound missing on satelite channels also coincidence???

 

Sorry I am a bit confused are you saying you cannot get provider id up after reflash. And are you channels working?

Certain areas of Dublin are been worked on by N** for upgrade purposes. This is been carried out as late as possible to not cause too much hassle to thier customers. Unfortunately you seem to be one of those people in that area. Your SV codes have not changed and you will come back on sooner or later. Sorry thats all the info I can give.

Does anyone know if SV will work in the Isle of Man. I will be spending the next few weeks there and was thinking of bringing box. I think the house is connected via cable to a single dish that serves a bunch of holiday homes which recieve the 5 standard uk channels?

 

Hi Leslie so thats where your from Only jokin it depends on which station the signal is been switched at. It might only affect one or two areas.

hard question not sure about the Isle of Man doesnt sound like mmds if they only have 5 basic channels sounds like freeview to me and the starview will not work,it might pick up more FTA channels, but cannot say for sure
