Gtloader is the application used to upload the firmware. Ryan has it on his links. With regards to the null modem cable look up the page I have posted a full description of it.

VLC=Video lan client
It's a multimedia player.

If it tried to play it when you clicked on the link, just choose download rather than let vlc play it.
If you double-clicked it after downloading it, don't. Run gtrom loader first, and select the .bin file in there.

 

thanks for that eamo hadn't got a clue what vlc was but now i know.

 

eamo I have another guide for the replay boxes I have seen a lot of people looking for info on these any chance you can take a look at see if its worth adding to your download library. By the way its a bit tongue in cheek but has all the info your need for the replay.
