is anyone else getting this when try to flash [error] the parallel port could not be opened when on skymax file

make sure emu is switched on .read back a few posts for info.

 

johnsteel, the skymax program is for use with the jtag cable. To upgrade firmware you need the gtrom loader software, which you can get from the link at the end of my post.

I have been emailling the person who got suspended since last week when I bought a box off him - absoloutely no contact whatsoever (and still not received my box!).
Think that may be the last we see of him and my cash :-( - its a real shame cos he helped me out loads previously and help was greatly appreciated!
Oh Hum!!! If you get offered something that seems a good deal be wary! Think I got lulled into a false sense of security due to help he had offered for free previously.
If he comes back I apologise for this post in advance! All i can say is answer youe emails man!!!

Hi all, replaced the incorrect cable for the null modem cable today at Maplins,good job you quoted me the part number as with my luck got a newbie assistant who didn,t know what i was on about.i have flashed to 4.0e just 15mins ago and nothing could be simpler thanks to this forum.everything downloaded 100% and download complete etc.just switched the box back on after re-connecting to the tv and all channels still there with my preference order still in place etc.version 4.0e indicated in softwear version.everything seems fine so far,how do i know if autoroll is working ??. emu is switched on etc.do i need to do anything else ?

Lads, anyone have the new c***** codes for dublin? The codes on page one stopped working yesterday.

 

anybody know if codes have changed in the uk today a friend has phoned his box is just updating mines ok though but i got ver4 his is 257 on a clone

 

anybody else had problems?

all sorted thanks i'm a dimwit all i had to do was check the keys on my box they had changed i just aint got round to putting the autoroll 257 on his box yet will do it when i can be bovvvvvereedddddd

 

so does anybody have an opinion on 50quid delivered for a jtagged box is it a good deal or not?

About 5 of my channels have went off about an hour back but all the others are fine and working. I've tried deleting them and rescanning - manual and automatic and also tried a factory reset and then an auto scan. It finds the channels which aren't working but when I go to them it says bad or scrambled channel - however all the others are working sound.

Also I've checked all the other unknown channels (i.e. tv 127 etc.) in case they've just been moved but still no joy.

All I can think is that c co have stopped airing the missing channels. as most channels are fine.

Any tips???
