newbie here,

just subscribed to virgin media, have a clone starview box, and running 2.57e_E. I have installed the box, and scanned on NTL - fails, with no channels found, then tried setting to telewest, and this seems to work with 260 odd channels. Then i enable emu and try to view the channels - only the free (terrestial) channels appear, everything else has a dollar sign next to it. when i try and view i get the bad signal or scrambled channell issue

any ideas?

how do i find out which provider is right for me, as far as i known ( in nw london) the supplier is only virgin media.
help!

Did you input the codes yourself you need to input all the ones on page 1 N** T***W*** C* enter a row at a time then press ok on remote to save do this on all rows till finished should work then also make sure your emu is deffo on ok come back and let us all know

My previous mistake was to only enter one pair - i thought the area was telewest, and was entering the keys for them only - how often do these codes change? will i have to do this frequently?

They where changed last week but i think things are quiet at the moment so fingers crossed

if they change they will be here just come back and ask you will be told what page they are on

great forum,but need help and education please. new to starview is updating the softwear like we used to flash the motherboard bios ?.do v----n scrambble the frequency to stop us viewing ?.are the new codes to unscrambble the channels ?why do we have to update the softewear ie known problems or to view the channels again?, lastly. how often do we have to do these actions ?. please advise.

The codes where changed last week if you need them look on page 1 they are there enter all codes for all providers and save each row as you go along till you are finished there is a tutorial for you to read if you wish compliments of Mikeygb click on the link under my name and you be brought to the site download to your pc and read it it will explain anything you need to know

 

Morning all.

I have been following this thread for a while and the old one - this one will be getting to 200 pages soon as well at this rate!

I only got my box 3 weeks ago but have learned how to use it thanks to all the advice on here.

Have I read it right that you don't even have a St*rview even though you help out all us newbies?

Do you think more of us should have the link to Drew's site in our signature strip?

ive checked it out, not same as 300 this time. it says it wont work on clones so use at your own risk!!
