I fit is saying 'updating' it usually means that your codes are wrong, go back and double check your codes, ( store each line ) and exit out. If it still says updating after 260% or do, knock it off from back and turn on again . this will reboot box..

Yes hopefully he is worth the money :) With regards to ch**** MMDS some people have been having problems of late especially navanroad he has been here everyday but to no avail.

The updates I have at the moment are:

There is going to be a new version of The Box for MMDS terrestrial viewers in Ireland.
The new receiver will be priced the same as The Box and have a DVB-T tuner instead of a DVB-C one.

Ch**** have been carrying out a trial using Conax instead of Nagra. They have a trial running in one paticular area at the moment and even the T type boxes will not work, for obvious reasons.

The Irish DTT trial is offered via Three Rock and Clermont Carn. If you are based near enough you can get 4 none scrambled channels via pure dvb-t. The rest of the channels are scrambled and only available for the participants of the trial.

The Irish DTT trial is using Conax version cas7. I am not sure what type of box they are using for the trial as of yet only the participants of the trial have them.

Thanks for the reply Stephen, if the codes are wrong surely I wouldn't be able to receive any channels, I'm new to this game and no expert.

the five channels you are getting are free to air channels e.g
rt2 ,tv3 living+1 and a few music channels maybe . try putting in a wrong key code and see if you still get your 5 channels

Fergus's Ch**** codes at the top of page one are the correct codes,
I have verified these codes from a number of different sources, are you using his codes as Mikey's have not been updated.

Thanks for getting back to me, I'm using the Fergus's codes, I've since done a factory reset reloaded everything and still the same issue. Someone mentioned last night that C*^&%s needs a specific version of the SW, do you know if this is the case and where can I download it.

Fair call, I changed a couple of digits in the code and yes I still receive the same couple of channels, does this mean that the latest C*&^%S code posted in incorrect

You will always receive these channels as a Starview is a Free To Air box and will pick up all free to air channels in your area. I have given all the info I have to hand on the C***** problem above.I will make a few calls and see what I can come up with.
