aarghhh, using regular nullmodem with 25-9pin converter does not work!! Guess I'm gonna be stuck with a non-working starview 2 until maplins restock their cables... which could be weeks, knowing how 'quick' they are here in dublin.

 

OK thanks for the info. If you have followed the instructions on how to upload from page 4 and are still having problem. Go to Eamo's SV library the link is at the bottom of my post. Click on Starview, Documentation and you will find a tutorial there that might explain your problem.

Pay special attention to the registry settings at the end.

hi all. i flashed one box that i have with 400ee, this box is defo nota a clone (1st generation box)and its died on me. when i put it on the display on da box is frozen and thrs no picture! i get the odd sound here and there. the box also dies after a while when i put it on. i have a 2nd starview that is 2nd generation (the big boxes) and it was running on 300ee but after i flashed it with 400ee it died 2. iv now flashed it back with 300ee and it works fine. how come it dont work with the 400ee? thanks for any help

i don't quiet understand they go on but after a while they turn off on there own.or do they not turn on at all when you flash to v4.

ryanmg the 2nd gen box that i have doesnt come on at all when i flash with v4, the display on the box jus has a flashing green light going across its front. iv flashed back to v3 and that works fine, its back to normal. but as for the v4 i dont think it works at all, i got the file from speedyshare.com via mainman. is their another place i could get the v4 from? i got the v3 from satdownloads

 

the green lights mean bad flash.the v4 at speedyshare is the v4 that i uploaded which i got off sat downloads.
