Could the problem be the GTrom Loader, rather than the v4.00 bin file?

Remember when trying to flash v2.57au file I got for it had a faulty GTrom Loader file. used another one and it flashed file.

 

any one got the new codes for ntl dublin, mine just went off 15 minutes ago thanks

 

Have you tried to download a fresh version of the GTloader and firmware and then try those to upload instead. Also you are definitely sure that you have used both the same cable and RS232 adapter with your laptop before and that all the other boxes you have flashed with this method had no problems.

Sorry for asking the same questions but I want to rule out the cable, USB adapter and laptop out of the equation. And all that will leave us with is the box.

Another quick question the said box that you are flashing was working before you tried to flash it?

yes the box was workin before i tried to flash it an ive tried an new gtrom loader an new software dat i got from the bottom of ur page...it is the same cable i used before im doing it from my pc not a laptop but ive always done it from the pc as i dont have a laptop i will try an do an upload now an see wat happens!

 

Paz the Boxes are still up in Dublin at the moment so I would say it is a localised problem.

Just flashed my orig starview with STARVIEW_H20070607_400eE_api.bin - hopefully this will update automatically - but noticed something very strange which might be of use to anyone whos had problems.

Box flashed ok - channels autodetected ok, EMU on ok, but channels would not unscramble. Went into Nagravision page and noticed that my n*l code was ok, was given the 00 key option - ok, but insted of being the 01 key was presented with FF and all 8 parts were also FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF.

Changed this to 01 - turned off box for around 10 seconds - restarted and all channels (well nearly) unscrambled.

Now I hope someone can help me with the next part - I've lost or have Nick Junior, Nick Toon, Nick Replay and FTV still scrambled - have messed around with manual scanning and detected these channels in different frequency locations but still scrambled - does anyone out there have these channels unscrampled in Waterford and could post the frequency information so as I can try further manual scanning - anything to keep the kids happy.

i think it does the same but the clock and screen size are diffrent.v4 the clock works and you have screen options letter box and full screen.
2.57 the clock resets to 12.00 when you turn off your box but the screen options are 16:9 and 4:3.


also i have a link to the TRANSFORMERS soundtrack if anyone whats it i can pm you the link.its a good soundtrack.
