OK paz. I guess something could be left over from the earlier attempt, that's hanging on to
the parallel port, so nothing else can open it. Try a reboot of the pc. The joys of M$ products.

I dunno how to explain this but the problem I had earlier with trying to get the sv to reboot after I jtagged it has somhow sorted itself out. The box is up and running. i just loaded the v2.57au file onto it.

Dunno about the parallel port problem though .

Hi martin, at the top of the page, click on the Edit My account link, then click on the Edit Personal Information link, scroll down the page a little, and in the Signature field, enter the link.

Martin .. go your your account info and edit , scroll down near bottom and theres a blank box for a signature etc , type text and paste the link etc .

 

Ah well, at least the box is 'alive' again. As I say, the only thing I can think of is that
some process was still running, holding on to the parallel port. You could kill the process,
or just reboot the pc, and the problem should be gone.

hi pgdelahu, even if the codes are wrong, you will still get the free-to-air (fta) channels, such as rte2 and tv3, and probably a few more, although not rte1, as that has the $ symbol.

I've disconnected jtag leads and everything else. Just back to my normal pc. Hopefully that'll do the trick.
