And w***** does not program the firmware the factory that makes the starview does and to be honest they have a product to protect if they implement security features that kill fake boxes good luck to them!. I to have a dead clone flashed with 260 but i dont blame w***** he put up warning saying not guaranteed to work with clone but at the time there wasent much info on clones thats why i created a website to identify these dodgy boxes.
So stop slaging myself and anyone else associated with w***** or satdownloads..

I wouldn't have a problem with w*****d for the ver 260 firmware. My problem would be ripping people off with the box. when he introduced the box he was trying to tell people that it had a faster processor, 7 day epg etc. Then when people bought the box they realised they had bought an ordinary starview. that's my main problem I would have.

yeh the guy got his info wrong, but should have refunded people that where not happy about it, , then the guys could have any receiver from where there get them from, as all this receiver eurovox max, dreambox, dbox, replay , sell for roughly the same price

so i dont understand why people are buying "the box" & still moaning like ******

move on & buy another companys receiver that does the same thing & carry on watching

 

hey guys. my clone died today. it was running v3.00ee for the last week with the same freezing problem. i put it into standby and it just died. there's nothing on the display now
just when i was gonna use it as a guinea pig to help provide some answers... anyway, i still have an original box running the same, do you reckon its safe ? and did i see something on the old thread about what to do if it dies ? or was that another forum ?

so i am just wondering who you are going to blame, as it does say not to put THE LAST FEW FIRMWARE UPDATES ON CLONE RECEIVERS,

if you have a orginal receiver its basicly up to you if you want too put v4.00ee ON YOUR ORGINAL RECEIVER , as i have put this firmware on my orginal starveiw and it works great from this morning

 

i can only blame myself for not returning my clone. not sure about the v4 yet is it v4 you're running or the v3 ?

no that wasn't the one i installed. mine has been running for over a week. i just thought that was the latest file we were all waiting for. anyway, perhaps i'll buy a eurovox.

 

No prob our software was only put up here on the 4th June so it must be someone else's was it the one where you had to download the toolbar where you got it from
