    Hi,

I'm in the Bucks area and have a genuine box. Upgraded to V3 on Monday and so far it's working fine with no freezing at all. I'm on the V Media network.

I'm starting to get cold feet about it now though as so many people seems to experiencing problems with V3 so I might just switch back to V2.57!

Hi Mikey. Can't get the mail to go, 'cos it has executables in the zip file. Even tried getting rid of the exe extension with no joy.
I'll try to dig up a link to where I got it from.

My neighbour has just called me and his clone box has also died today (mine went today also) running on 300e. Im a complete novice in all of this but it appears that the cloned boxes are in danger of dying with the 300e file. My question is this..? If the codes hadnt gone mad last week and caused a panic, would we have needed this 300e update? If the answer is 'no', then the issue with the clones is down to box itself and maybe the parts used are not upto the quality of the genuine box??

all firmware from 260 onwards were designed to kill the clones, the clones have same quality components to the genuine box, the cpu is slower in the clone - this is what the new software is targeting

Cheers mikeygb69.. Been chatting to my neighbour and hes been told that some of the providers were doing checks today and purposely sent out some sort of virus to shut down illegal boxes.. he also goes on to say that a fix will be on the net in a matter of days?? I really dont know what to believe, but my neighbour gets all his info from foreign websites.

theres nothing the providers can do. if that was the case mine would be dead now! its their own fault for choosing encryption thats been cracked, the company that makes the encryption has a better version that hasnt been cracked yet but to change to that version would mean they have to supply their customers with new recievers

the flashing lines usually means a bad flash, nothing to worry about but the box wont work until flashed again
