thank you ryammeg thats exactly where mine came from and its 100% fine, i beleive its the one that has come off this site thats giving the problems.

 

how has this not been test on this site m8, as there is a fair few of us on this site , have got the v4 on our orginal receivers from yestaday, & its working fine

as i got the firmware from satdownloads, yestaday, & its been working fine ever since

but make sure you have a ORGINAL RECEIVER

 

so was the v3 for some people for a week or so then some boxes died i would not recomend any member to put anything on there box only files that has been tested and this site has a faith in ie for official boxes 257eE clone 257eE 300eE can be found on page 29 posted by pjmuk or look for a post by ferg and can be found in a link under is post my personal choice is the 257 no freezing for me

 

I am no newbie,i personally had a clone box (totally unaware i may add) flashed it with 260 and we all know the story there,the 2nd time i bought one i took my clone with me and compared the two,i wasnt going to buy unless i got the real mccoy,but i proved it to be real,and to be honest,its been worth the money,it ran v300ee for 10 days(poorly i may add freezing etc) and then i have had 400ee on and it runs v well on this, i wasnt prepared to keep inputting keys manually every couple of days too much hassle.

 

Hi guys i dont mind being a guinea pig for the 400ee if i could get it on.If no body test it how do we find out its gonna be ok?

 

there is no such file clone 257eE m8 as it works fine on all receivers, the problem started on 260ee file fake/clone receivers , as it was only for orginal receivers & all firmware after that are for all orginal receivers , there was some freezing problems with the firmware file v3 in some areas, but work well in some areas, but for people in other areas that had freezing problems v4 has sorted out the problem

& where do you thing this site get's it orginal firmware file from, it just gets pass from site to site( people to people), or do you thing this site wrote the firmware

thats a fact shaun but i dont want to be the one to tell someone to do that as i have said in previous post in so many words ferg does a very good job on this site and would never tell any one to do something that could go wrong let other sites be g/p and not kill our boxes

well guys, finaly got v4 onto me genuine box. epg is pretty desperate but what can ya do. will keep you all informed.

on another note, has anyone successfully revived a dead clone with the jtag method, and if so, which method. the ic or the resistors ?
