Guys i updated a clone 5 days ago to ver 3.00eE may 2007 not had a prob but b4 mines goes dead give me a direction b4 mines does i've read bk few pages seems to be bout 5 to 7 days b4 fk ups happen ? 69, drew, fergus, Tafsir, ddp , & Bond give me bit of direction sooner than later & PM me the one you think do the trick cheers, !!

I had a few clone boxes that I put the v300e on last week. These ranged from 7 days ago until 2 days ago. After one died yesterday, I tried to change back to v2.57e on them. even though some had the v300e on the for a day or two, as soon as I diconnected them they immediately died on me. Never had a chance to change them to v2.57e

Don't wanna scare you but be careful.If you don't try and change back to v2.57e it's gonna die anyway. Good luck, hope this helps you.

hi people, has anybody got any idea why i cant flash my box back to the 257 firmware please.somebody put ver 3 on my boxes but they keep locking up.i downloaded the file from page 1 but after ive flashed it i only have the lines on the front of my box.i can flash any other file but not the 257 i got from the page 1 . i look forward to hearing from anybody

So does anyone on here know if you can use the cas interface 3 jtag to revive a Starview??

 

i stated previously that when i flashed with v3.0 i get occasional picture lockup and reverts to bad/scrambled channel for a few seconds and then all is ok.i didn,t get this before,only no channels at all except for free channels even with new codes in. being new to starview i don,t know what version i had installed before. it is a genuine starview box approx one month old and it would have had what version came with the box, any ideas.

I have flashed my Starview with 257 and then a few weeks later with 259 which works fine. But recently I connected it up to my pc as before with the power on and tried to flash with 300. I pointed to the bin file as before and pressed "download".It never downloads and I get the message "Firmware update Failed". Any ideas?

Just another thing, I know this is a starview thread but can any of you guys let me know if it's possible to "open up" the full package for Sky or is there a similar box out there (this person has a satellite connection to Sky).

This ones to both handford and gossard,version 300ee is a bit temperemental to a lot of users ,what you are describing handford is typical- frezing and the occasional scrambled channel. if you are positive your box is a genuine one and not a clone then i can pm you the link for v400ee if you wish,i too had the 300ee problems,flashed the box with 400ee and all is perfect now,but make sure your box is genuine b4 putting it on,it will not work with a clone and prob kill it.Gossard,the files on this site seem a little temperemental,a few people are getting the update failed with them,i can guarantee you that the 400ee file i have works and will flash through your box no probs,let me know guys if you want the link and i will pm it you.

 

to jobbers, thanks for the information,i have a genuine box as compared to the sample photo,s of genuine and clown boxes,how else can you make certain ?. please send me v4.00 and flash utility.(thanks in advance) has this version been tested sufficiently before i flash my box?

 

Hi handford,i will send you the downloader and v400ee via pm,the v400ee was brought out to get rid of the freezing etc on 300ee,its an auto key change,so once on you wont need to constantly keep entering codes as you do with 257,the 400ee has been out about 4 days and has had good reports from people with it on their boxes,i have had it on 2 days and have to say i am v impressed.its only early days yet tho,as we know these things take a week or so to show their bad sides,so its up to you if you wish to put it on,it is designed for genuine boxes tho - the pictures you refer to are a good guide the remote is usually a good pointer- 1 circular groove on the back signifies a genuine one two grooves on the back a clone.

lol,i think you will need winrar to open it all, i sent you a package with all the downloader and other files,i tell you what i will send you just 400ee on its own,check your private messages again lynn.
