If i was you, id have 2 seperate cables running, 1 for antenna and 1 for cable, quite simply your running cable tv frequencies down the same line as your tv antenna, your antenna where its wired up on the roof is actually a loop, therefore its like crossing 2 mains wires, it shorts it out and shouldnt be done, cable tv likes nice clean wires without the centre core and the outer core of its wires being crossed which is the state your wiring is at the moment. you need to realy have them seperate otherwise your going to have problems, i cant see why you didnt have problems before as from whwre im standing you should have!

Change you cables around, 1 for antenna and one for cable :)

My box died the other day and it wasnt untill after i found out i had a cloned box and firmware v3.0 killed it, but to my surprise i e-mailed the seller on fleabay and they have been very good about it. I have to send it back to get it sorted and they are putting a new chip in it to stop it being done again. Yes there is a small charge of 15 quid but its just nice to see a seller taking responsibilty.

    sorry drew, you misunderstand.

i have no antenna on my roof, my only source of tv is my cable provider, but worry not for i have taken your advice and disconnected as i dont want to take the chance and i can be patient till my 2nd box arrives.

    thanks drew.

on another note, anyone give the jtagging a go yet

Yes, ive done the j tag on my own box, it worked a dream, only thing i recomend though is buy the jtag on ebay, i built my own and realy it was a pain in the ass going shopping for parts to make it as no where liked having certain parts unless i lived in falkirk and maplins there did actually stock it, except, if from rotheram and my store is sheffield! pah

Ebay there about £15 quid already made :)

    Cheers!

I know what your saying about the money, but it does include postage and im just happy to get it sorted as i got my mate 1 too and felt bad. Better than been fobbed off. It was the sellers fault really as he sent me the firmware update and i did question it after looking at the threads on here. Ive heard alot of sellers shirking the responsibility so anything is better than nothing.

there will not put a new chip in too your receivers m8

most like there will just Jtag you boxes & send them back to you, also you will not be able to use new update firmware to auto update , if your boxes are FAKE/CONE

so you will be enter key codes to view all the $ sign channels
