You might have to do a re-flash. If that dosnt work thrn a factory reset ! I havnt heard of that problem before , maybe some one else on forum might have had .

 

tonto,are you using v258 by any chance? 258 is notorious for not letting you into parental control,go into menu then system information and have a look at what software version your box is running.

Yes it's 258.

 

ok,258 is no good,you need to flash your box with new software,click on this link and all the software and info is on there for you.please make sure you find out first if your box is a genuine starview or a clone as the wrong software will kill your box!
there is pictures etc of how to tell from the link too.

Hi fergus in a nutshell,a lot of clones have gone down with v300ee,apart from that just the usual stuff- version 4.00 seems ok on genuine boxes -SO FAR !!!!

on 258 all you have to do is press menu then 1570 and it will take you into the secret menu.

Great weekend lots of big bikes and drink i believe we have a new mod as well also did the boxes go down re codes and if so what page are they on now how was things how many boxes did we lose and where the software from this site or did anyone ask

 

Just a few ( i think ) with code problems but main were ok !
4.00 update seems to be ok for genuine ones anyway < I havnt tried it yet though

I have a starview box (clone) I have put the codes in and am getting
no pictures only a blue box saying SCRAMBLED OR BAD CHANNAL
I checked the apiversion andit is 257e_E boot 7 16 august 2006

are these boxes useless now?

When u put the codes in did you make sure that u pressed ok to store them ?

 

yes I did and when I scanned it 140 channels were found keyed in info 2004 turned emu key on and nothing

 

there is now a blue box coming up on the screen saying
info data is been updated it goes from 0% to 500%

 

at the rate we are going here we will be up at 200 pages again are all the codes still on page 1 and all other details on drew site and also do you know if drew done the jtag tutorial

 

yea you must have the wrong codes in
For the codes goto first page of this forum
(Make sure you put in codes for your area only )

 

Just had a look on his site and it seems he has sorted a fix for dead clones.

 

You are sending them to the wrong page the codes are on page 1 here the other ones are the old codes can you check i might have this wrong do please advise
