im getting someone to build the jtag for me, hes doing it in a way so its not soldered to the pcb, we've got loads of boxes to do and need it to be easily transferred from box to box

i'd recommend only those with some knowledge in electronics & soldering should try it! the flashing part seems simple enough - more or less the same as using gtrom

fergus how do i get channels back wat hav been deleted...have tride auto scan an manual scan on channels with the same frequency but no joy. wats the dance on that

 

You might have to do a reset to get them back then rescan after that turn your emu back on again and check your codes which are available on page 1

You could try a rescan again and go to channel editor and do a sort AtoZ and see does it turn up there

 

hi i have version 300 in my box freezes a little but if i flash back to 257 will that work in the newark area and do i have to put codes in it ,or will it just auto update thank you ,

 

best to take v3.00 off machine and put 2.57 on this will cure your problem

Yes you will have to manually input codes only takes 5 min to do it

 

if you have a clone it will kill it flash back to 257

there was no computers when i was at school find it hard to use more than two fingers

 

I am afraid there was none when i was around either i am two finger man as well but just a little faster does get easy when on it all day doh

 

whats your opinion on codes ferg been going strong 4 11 days now

 

Could be sorted as the codes where changed to accommodate the new HD channels so unless they add some more should be ok also unless they are going to spend a small fortune replacing all there boxes and somehow i dont think that is going to happen

 

yes i have been sat fingers crossed that it was the hd1/hd/2 thing i think thats why my typings slow
