    Hi ya'll,

And respect to the seniors up in here. I'm new to this forum and was being hustled by some Tele(opposite of East) employee to sort out my box which has recently lost all it's channels. Reading through this thread I believe I just need to enter the relevant codes on page 1. Many thanks to the players who get all these codes by the way.

However, how do you get to the screen to enter these codes ?

    Thanks in advance.

if the box is using an rf output then u may need to change the pal settings there are three to choose from ...... as i recall the bottom one think its PAL I not sure is the uk one ... otheres are jsut hig interlaced ntsc derivitives passed off as pall

when u reflassh the box with same firmware it will or maybe work but when they change the channels and you have to rescan for them the frequencies are different and hence will not corespond to the ch names??!?! pretty sure that is right... any other comments?

You can also try this , it might help:

1 - connect your pc/laptop to your starview
2 - goto user setup on the starview
    3 - select S/W Transfer
This will now open a box that apears to be awaiting a connection
4 - open GTRom Loader v4.oo and select Channel Data File
    5 - Click Upload
Locate and save your bin file on your hardrive

you dont need to do steps 2 & 3. when you click on upload / download in gtrom the starview automatically sends the data. the s/w transfer option on the starview is used for box-to-box transfers

Thats true but its handy to have all the info cause alot of people are trying to sort out friends too. So all they will need is their box and just transfer it over ! good point though.

ferg have you used the channel editor? im thinking of making a help file for that because it must seem complicated to use for some people & the instructions that come with it dont really help much, no pictures & not exactly easy to understand
