hey anyone else havin a problem with sound its off on some channels and out of sync on others.

 

Oh yeah is there any way i could find out the codes for Ireland myself? Is there any other uses/beneifts to hooking my starview box up to my PC?

 

if audio/video has lost sync it will be a problem at the providers end.

 

you could flash with v4 firmware as this autoupdates the codes. If you have a clone don't do this. You cannot get the codes by connecting starview to your pc.

 

just do a manual scan and it will pick up the stations without sound then delete the ones that arnt working and replace with the new ones you found in the scan

 

If you have a genuine starview you could install v3, this will make the box autoupdate, if you have a clone you can install v3 to update the keys but then you'll have to revert back to your previous version. pc connection is for 2 reasons, to update firmware and to backup / edit the channel list

 

I have v4 which updated the keys. Not recommended for clones though.

you musnt be doing it right , what exactly are you doing?

 

NTL have been working on cables outside my house. maybe they have blocked the signals or something

do you have a subscription with them? if toy recently cancelled your contract they may have disconnected your line

 

I am pressing menu> 1570> nagravision > enter new code 1 > store twice > exit 3 times

Nothing changes then so repeat process with 2nd code

Is that right?

 

john are the codes definitly stored i know the 1st time i changed codes they didnt store you have to keep finger on ok button for a few seconds it will hop from ok to store and when it stops on store then there stored might help

 

Ntl are just updating their cables,(im dublin too ) its not interfering with the boxes, it must be something else mate

 

do 1st code then store then 2nd code and store exit check emu is on exit and they should be there that is the channels

 

codes are perfect but sound gone on some channels any one help?

 

menu>1570>nagravision> key number should say 00 scroll down to key data and change to new code press ok, then scroll back up to key number and press right arrow it should change to 01 then scroll back down to key data and change it to new code for this, press ok then exit back to stations and it should be on ok
