HELP.....flashed with 3.00 and our 2 box's have died about an hour later, power to it but screen is dead. have read needs jtagging - anyone know of anyone in Dublin/Ireland who does this?

email person i got them off Ebay, told me they are faulty machine (presume cloned) and to send it back and will replace for 20stg but don't trust him!

yes they are totally & truely copies.........will jtagging still work? should this person be allowed sell them on Ebay if copies? paid about 100stg / 140 euro for them.....

 

try a factory reset and then flash with 2.57 software available from http://www.drewish1.co.uk/genuine.htm

 

is there a factory reset button - can't see one off hand? thanks, have software for flashing

 

hit menu on remote then down to factory setting enter password which should be 0000 then ok to confirm factory reset

 

sorry think i may have explained wrong, the box is totally dead so when you plug it in nothing happens to either your tv or on the screen of the box so i cannot access anyof the menus as if a fuse is blown in it, but hubby is electrician and check that power is going into it and the switch, sounds like we have totally killed it!

 

Yes its dead, always check that your box is not a clone because there is software out there that will kill it !
For info You can Check back on this forum about getting them fixed .

 

whoops.... believe it or not actually checked difference of clone after flashing it as first box we flashed we bought from a friend & it was an original just presumed they were all the same!! will read back through threads.....ta !

 

no Prob, The makers/ sellers put bugs in some software which will kill clone boxes , So they dont interfere with buisiness ! Its like everything else I suppose.
