Playing catch up here. Have not been able to keep up to date with what is going on with the Starview box over the last few weeks. What is the latest version of the firmware now available, is up to v4.00 already? Is it any better than v2.57?

With N*L in Dublin changing codes every week now, is it a case of needing to manually put in the new codes to fix this, or is there an easier way to do it?

 

If your box is a clone you will be manually putting in the codes for ever as all the firmware released is for the real boxes so if you have a real one put v4.00 if not stick to what you have

I presume that v4.00 will overcome the issue of the codes then?

Looking at the previous threads I think the box is a genuine one so I might upgrade it. Any idea where the v4.00 firmware is?

To get back sound on e4 sky1 ect just select the channel in question press menu, select installation, select manual scan, click ok on down frequency. It'll now scan for channels when its finished exit back to normal tv viewing screen go to the end of your channel listing and the desired channel will be there with sound. This can be done on any channel with no sound by just selecting that channel following the instructions above.

what you have to do is click on channel editor.then a box will pop up with a load of smaller boxs, in the top left corner it says file click on it,then click on open pick the channel dump.then all then channels are in the small boxs.with the details eg.name,frequence etc.

its a good thing to have so if you every do lose channels and have to put in manual you have have them on your computer

 

when you have all your channels working.go to gtrom loader press on channel data file an and press upload to upload your own channel dump.
