May as well try a reflash ( or maybe back to v257e) cause if your box is genuine u shouldnt have a problem with it dying, and it might solve your dilema !

    !!!About All Channels Going Missing!!!

If you experience all your channels not working at all, then please check that your incoming cable tv line acctually works by connecting it direct to the tv to see if any channels can be picked up by the tv itself as sometimes the cable network may be undergoing a repair or alteration which would caus the channel loss.

If no tv signal can be picked up, wait for it to come back, ive seen it happen here in south yorkshire a few times. If there is a picture coming through your tv then we are back to square one ! :)

    Hope it helps

    EVERYONE READ - IMPORTANT!!

Ive made a shocking discovery and need everyone to be aware of it!
We all know that the clone-safe v3 was just a fake & it was identical to the original v3, just renamed. Easy way to find out what a files version really is by going in the menu, then system information - this well tell you what the version is no matter what the file has been renamed to. well this isnt the case anymore, ive found out how a file can be altered so the starviews system info can be changed to whatever version you want!
This could be really bad because someone could get a v3 file, rename it to a clonesafe then alter the contents so the system info states its clone safe, or a different version, or both!! I dont know if anyone else knows how to do this & im not giving anyone any details on how its done - for ubvious reasons!! I read on one of these threadsa that someone had a 257 file that auto-updates, , this is making me very suspicious as we all know the only files that auto update are 260 onwards!!
I think that all new files from now on should be compared against previous versions!

let me know what you guys think

Mikey have gone back over the threads but cant locate that one but i know i did see it alright and what you say is correct they do need to be checked alright there is someone out there that has it in for the clones to finish of the job they could not with the 260 so rename it and try again and of course some people wont read the threads and will just put it on
