Good to see All the hardwork on here is still entertaining the nation with SV... Am still running on 2.57, since the input of manual codes and has been working well. Noticed some HD channels like BBC, ITV etc, I have a HD tv, I know SV is not compatable, but any ideas of picking up true HD signal....apologies for taking this positing in a diff direction..Thoughts/Views welcomed. Thanks

i have a clone.does any1 know if there bringing out firmware for clone boxes so the codes will roll on and stop freezing of channels

does ver 257 freeze and scramble channels ples reply

 

most likely not.

 

ive got a clone with 259, no freezing

 

every now and again 257e will loose the codes but u will be able 2 get them back via the links on this forum, but for clones most probably die if you download any other software! advice is 'stay put' !if it aint broke dont fix it !

 

Guys i just flashed a mates box wi 3.00ee it worked and updated itself ok, and the i took it back to ver 2.57 cos of all the talk bout them not working, it's a clone we think it . any way after doing this it has not swithced itself back on any ideas ????????

 

goto the drewish link on my post- see if it 'IS' a clone first !

 

telling by the scarts its clone but so is mine and mine went back to 257 no prob

 

losing audio on some channels since new codes any ideas why

 

manual scan them again- when in manual scan : goto' down frequency' and scan ..

Thanks so much Fergus. It had been changed to C*. All up and running again apart from Setanta but will do rescan as I have had to do on many occasions with these channels. Keep up the great work on the site. I haven't had channels in 5 weeks. You're lifesavers.

 

opened it back up and from what i can tell it's 1st gen box, no red blobs etc, but i,ve noticed the cpu does not have a heat sink on it like the 1st gen in the pictures

 

just to add, the box when you hit the power switch at the back on and off you can hear little electrical noises, there appears to be no burn outs on the cicuit boards, but no lights to the front of it either, hope someone can help as it's a mates and i told him i'd get his channels back & now the poor sod has to listen to the radio & he won't let me near that now !!!, thanks in advance guys

sorry m8 but it sounds like you might need the box to be jtag where did you get your software from m8
