I cant understand what you mean the code will only change when the codes do and not before that time are you trying to get them to change by themselves

 

if you change the codes manual to any random codes the channels won't work so you let it autoroll but it won't.there something going on in ntl.i put in a bunch of numbers and letters in the nagravision and half the channels stayed on and half said update.

The idea of autoroll to my knowledge now i stand to be corrected by somebody if i am wrong if you say input the codes manually then put v4 on it the next time N** change the signal they sent changes the code automatically in the box but if you go in and change the codes manually how can they change back there is no signal been sent to change them so wait and see when they are changed does it work

Also can you try use Astrix on the name like N** instead of the full title

Hi guys just wanted to post a small bit of info that may or may not be useful.
few weeks back i posted saying i had a dodgy remote. it was suggested by tezzer to get a new one so i did and it worked fine.

i have since realised from all recent events that i have a clone box
but the new remote i bought is a genuine one and it works perfect with the clone! like i say may or may not be useful - im in NE england on smellywest and still using v257 and inputting codes manually when needed playing it safe.

Thanks for the information but as far as i am aware all remotes for starview boxes are compatible because the same components are in the clone the only difference is the cpu the clone is 65Mhz while the genuine one it 85Mhz that is why the boxes get fried the files are made for the bigger processor

mind you although every picture on the clone not clone part on this forum points towards me having a clone i have not looked inside as i was pretty convinced its a clone by the first few pics!

the geezer i bought it from reckons its a genuine one and should flash with v3 even though i stated when i asked him that i wasnt bothered if it was genuine or clone as there is firmware for both, i just wanted to know which one. so i think he is lying.

btw according to my user manual in the tech specifications section it says my processor clock speed is 81mhz.

If you count the top slits on your box the genuine one has 25 and the clone has 18 hope this helps you out

 

you can't use starview s/v on the box

Did me answer seem alright for the question on the v4 firmware

 

no.on friday night n** has sent some sort of signal blocking the autoroll on starview and eurovox.so if you didn't let it autoroll before friday it won't.if you don't understand what i am say talk to steo46 he is better at explaing then i am

 

How ya Lads, I have just been told that at least 3 of my mates starview boxes are freezing???? and coming up with messages saying updating etc, I have been reading the various threads over the past few weeks and have been dreading having to download fixes and things as we have clones and see boxes blown to pieces so if any one can explain step by step (babytalk) how to do this please: i noticed yesterday a few people on about ufc what was that?
