Not a bother i have just pm steo about this autorolling to see exactly what is the problem and if there is going to be a fix for the problem so we will be all back to square 1 again having to manually input the codes its a laugh

Hi guys. Just a quick one about jtag cables. As the only real components in the easy version are 5 x 100ohm resistors, are they really necessary. I'm finally getting a day off work tomorrow, so I was just wondering if there are any electronics gurus around who would have an opinion as to whether they are really needed or not.
I'm making the rest of the cable today in work from bits that I have, and thought it might be worth finding out, get it fixed for myself for fathers day.

 

Only one problem about this. where are we gonna get the keys if they don't autoroll? That's where I was getting them all along.

 

Well if it is only affecting the starview box I can retrieve them from my dreambox,
but I think that NTL can't do anything to prevent autorolling, they just got lucky the last time that there was a bug in the starview firmware.

 

It's also affecting the eurovox and dreambox. so it's not a starview bug.

 

Still think that its beyond NTL's capabilities, they struggle to get their own boxes working properly, they need the autoroll system for their own boxes to update.

 

my m8s eurovox won't update so i think n** have the capabilites.

 

My Starview (v4) and dreambox working fine here on NTL Dublin.

 

Have they autorolled since the last code change the other day or did you have to manually input the codes this time thanks

V4 put on on Wednesday, Autorolled on Thursday,

must just be a local fault, NTL are unlikely to do something (even if they could) on a Sunday morning. are genuine boxes or non starview boxes working?

 

the boxs are working just next key change none of the boxs will update.and n** have stoped the atoroll since friday night

people start sending pms to a guy i know saying v4.00 won't update so he sent me a msg asking did i have the same problem.so i checked and mine would't update so we looked around and some peoples boxs would't update(starviews and eurovoxs).thats were this info came from.and i don't know what n** are goind to do.

 

Yes mine has just gone off aprox an hour ago, just the one , wonder what is happening, will try a rescan later an see if I can get it back here's hoping. Unless anyone out there has any other Idea's
