I have a video that is in two parts - side A is the first half and side B is the second half of the movie. Is there a procedure to amalgamate the two parts of the movie, after using dvd decryter on each side, then use shrink to make it fit a regular dvd?

    Appreciate any help,

    Thanks Doug

There are several ways to do this, especially if you don't need the menu.

About the easiest is to use Shrink and re-author the second half to a location on your HDD. When you have that done, close Shrink, flip the disc and Re-author the first half. Just drag the title for the first half over into the compilation window on the left.

Next, open Shrink's file browser and find the second half at the HDD location. double click it to select, then drag it over so it sits below the first half. Select burn to proceed as usual Shrink will do the rest. Shrink will combine the two halves into one.

You can do it in any order, just make sure the second half is below the first half or the movie will start in the middle and the start will be in the middle and the movie will end at the halfway point.....
Like I said, that leaves you with no menus, just the main movie.

    Dvd2one has this feature aswell.

    http://www.dvd2one.com/join.php

Rip both sides of the movie only to the hard drive, then select join mode in dvd2one, set your target size and point it to the two VIDEO_TS folders and let dvd2one do it's stuff.

You will then be left with one complete movie, then burn with your chosen burning app.......................

Obviously this does not retain any features/menus etc, but works well if you just want to retain the movie...............

    You're welcome

Maybe worthwhile trying what fasfrank suggested, then you can compare the 2 results and opt for the one that you prefer.
