I transfered from my sony digital 8 to my computer with windows movie maker in avi format, the video plays fine on the computer. I tried to convert it to dvd with VSO DivxtoDVD and it plays with no sound. Is there another program I should be using or am I doing something wrong?

Theres alot of programs out there, pursume you have made an mpg file using windows movie maker, try using tmpgenc dvd author, its not free but can get a trial for 30 days. Or nero should do it. Thats the only problem with movie maker theres no authoring/burning software with it

Thanks for the reply, I did get it figured out just didn't come back and say so. Sorry about that. I transfered it using DV/AVI option thenused TMPGE to convert and dvdlab pro to author and burn to dvd, works great. Nice to finally be able to watch my videos on my dvd player:)
