Thanks for all the great tips. I was successful at burning my first protected DVD. My question now is this...is the movie still on my hard drive. I thought that i saved it, but can't find it anywhere...help!

odds are, it was a temporary file that you've deleted. we need to know the software first to get an idea, though.

Here is a little hint that many members use for dvd backups. Make a new folder on your HD and name it something like DVD WORK or DVD BACKUPs. Then save all your movies to that folder when doing a backup. You will always know where your files are when its time to delete them or if you need them again. Good luck.

So, do you think that the movie is on my hard drive somewhere? I can't find it, but would it normally be there?

first make you a folder on your desktop like said above.

maybe its still there, if you used Shrink it might still be there, go to C: drive and look for it

2 reasons: dvd decrypter has some strong decryptin capabilities to break protections that neither shrink nor nero (which has no such ability) can. also, it's free. nero definitely isn't. and, for a third reason, it can do games :p
