When i was like 5 i saw this horror film that gave me nightmares for weeks... I can't remember the title though... i remember it had a scene where you see a beautifully set dinner table, when you hear a door open and close, you hear a man and woman talking, then there's the sound of a chainsaw, blood splattering all over the table, and after it's gone quiet, all of a sudden the chainsaw is tossed onto the table...left me traumatized for life ;) anyone have any idea what the title might be? it wasn't one of the Texas chainsaw massacre movies, i'm sure of that.

looks like this movie is very disturbing

    Description
BEGOTTEN is the creation myth brought to life, the story of no less than the violent death of God and the (re)birth of nature on a barren earth. Astounding and baffling critics and audiences alike, BEGOTTEN was named one of the Ten Best Pictures of 1991 by Time Magazine. Time's Richard Corliss wrote: "Nobody will get through BEGOTTEN without being marked... BEGOTTEN is a spectacular one-of-a-kind (you wouldn't want there to be two), filmed in speckled chiaroscuro so that each image is a seductive mystery, a Rorschach test for the adventurous eye." In production notes for the film, director Merhige commented, "Each shot in the film went through hours of preparation to achieve the look you will experience when viewing... the etheral "pulse" that hypnotically permeates the film. It took over ten hours to re-photograph less than one minute of selected takes

I saw the original Exorcist when I was a kid and couldn't sleep because I could swear my bed was shaking.

I know! I dunno, I watch it now, and it seems like it was intended as a comedy/horror movie like Shaun of the Dead. Doesn't seem too scary at all. You're right about the midget factor tho--->Creepy indeed

It never gave me nightmares but I think it was in Hellraiser when the girl was messing with that pyramid and it sliced her hand. For some reason to this day it makes my skin crawl. I saw a kid cut his thumb in half literally on a slicer in culinary art school and it didn't bother me a bit. But that scene......

Also I remember when I was young watching Phantasm and the guy was sewing someones eyelids shut, that creeped me out so bad I never finished watching the movie.

Oh by the way, even good Leprechauns go bad:

Oh another movie I just thought of was called Fire In The Sky,kind of scary movie I suppose.I was just kidding about leprauchan though hahaha lol,he is a funny little fella to put in a movie to be honest. The masterminds of our scary movies these days, being sarcastic hahaha lol.It is about alien abduction, one of the freakiest things I seen in this movie is when the guy that gets abducted wakes up on this spaceship. He starts moving around and no gravity right, because they are up in space. He finally moves toward some lights at the top of this cavern like prison they stuffed him into that looked like a big hole with tons of cacoons. He reaches the top of the place, and looks down and sees a bunch of little space suites with no movement but crap hooked up to them. His motorcycle keys fall out of his jacket, and he reaches for them. When he does he ends up falling down into this circle full of weird looking space suites. He gets the courage to look behind one of the space suites and doesn't see anything. One of the aliens touches his shoulder and he freaks out,and kicks it in the head. The alien starts saying some jibberish sounded like a call or something, and the guy starts crawling through a hole somewhere located in the room.He can't move real fast, because of graphity of course but they end up catching him.The aliens start dragging him very fast through some kind of tunnel, very quick and gravity doesn't apply to them for some reason. They put him on a table and cover him with some kind of sheet. Then water sprays out from the top of this machine. It makes the sheet tighten up and seals the guy down to where he can't move, almost like rubber. The guy freaks out as well as anyone would and starts screaming,so the aliens cover his face with this sheet of rubber. Then cut the part that was covering up his mouth, they stick some kind of black jello looking nasty substance in his mouth. Then shoved a metal piece down his throat, that connects to a machine. They stuck a screw in the side of his neck while they where waiting for this machine to come down from the ceiling.A metal eye frame piece was put in one of his eyes, and spread out to make sure he couldn't just tilt his head and make it drop out.The metal piece that was put into his eye released some liquid and the machine from the ceiling finally came down.It connected to the metal piece on the side of his neck and in his mouth and a fine needle was aimed at his eye.He could see everything that was happening to him and feel it.You can guess what happened next,if you hate needles then this would probably mess with you. That was probably one of the freakiest things I seen, because it looked believable to me.I actually felt sorry for the guy,but at the same time I felt like well it would suck to be him. There is no proof that aliens exist, but I think they exist. It would be hard to say they don't exist by looking at how big space is,it is pretty much endless. If you like alien abduction movies check this movie out alright.

To make a long explanation short,it was pretty intense if you ask me.I heard it was suppose to be based on a true story, but we can't actually say it is true or not.
