How can I move a program that is installed on one computer to a computer that it is not installed on. I know just copying the folder in the program folders does not work, but what else do I need, is there something in the registry?

Sometimes you can just copy the folder, depending on the program. It's at least worth a try. I know when I was setting up my kid's pc I was able to copy the folder over from the old pc for many of his games.

Programs that had custom DLLs were easier to reinstall instead of trying to find out which ones they needed.

    Hi,
My advise to you is to just uninstall and reinstall the software. In to whatever folder you wish.
I think that is the easiest way to do it...
    Hope this helped...
