MP3 AND MINIDISC

    Is it possible to load mp3 file from your computer to your mindisc player recorder and listen to them as mp3 file to increase the playing time of your minidisc

    Hello,

    Currently you have to convert the MP3 files to Sonys ATRAC encoding. You can take the files and if your MiniDisc is capable of MDLP this will gain more space on the disc itself.

    I mentioned CURRENTLY,,,,,Sony has announced that they will be supporting native MP3 formats on their ATRAC compatible recorders (CDR, Minidisc, Smartcards) with a software update. Time frameframe for this software is (Sometime this year). So who knows how long it will be.
