Mine has a play menu with play options, one of which is preview. In preview, it plays 10 secs. and goes on to the next, just like you were describing. Hopefully all you need is to get out of that mode!
Oh well, sorry to hear that, oliveraso.....Guess we're in the same boat; mine will only play videos for 2 secs. then freeze up; long trip back to Hong Kong to exchange/return ):-<

I had that same prob, froger, until I realized they had to be placed in the ROOT directory, and not in a sub-directory with the title.... Still only viewing 2 sec's. b4 freeze up here, so who am I to talk???
Note for "Disk Error" messages you only need to reformat player... flashing player voids most manufacturer warranties... Try this link here: http://www.chinagrabber.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1331 If after you reformat player, you have less than you started with you bought a hacked player. Any serious mp4 seller will clearly state how many songs / movies can be downloaded on 4gb, 8gb of memory. i.e. 8gb holds 2000+ songs or 300 music videos...
ok seemed to have cured my problem i have used "AVIConverter CHN-EN Setup" think the link is on here somewhere and it plays AVI files now not AMV files, suppose ebveryone has different problems to mine but this has cured it
Your 4gb is probably hacked to show it has a memory of 4gb.It's probably 1gb.Now have you put data over 1gb?If yes, then delete some data to allow memory for your videos(save them in case). If not format your player.Instructions can be found here.
no everything is coolio on it now, will check about that hack though, says it's 4gb when i open it through my computer on my PC but will try putting some big files onit and see what happens, still having a ballache with the firmware upgrade though cos the disc i got with it is wank and a waste of time and with it been a chinky rip off snide one trying to find the right firmware upgrade ain't easy
DOES ANYONE NOW HOW ANY SUTES WHERE YOU CAN DOWNLOAD AMV, MTV OR WMV VIDEOS!!!! PLEASE I CANT BE STUFFED CONVERTING THEM!!!!
thx guys i have the same problem i got an amv converter but it comes up with format error... btw i found if you get a song that says format error its bigger then 5mb i found that if i put it into mp3 format or make the size smaller it worked...
i found that converting to AMV format didn't work but converting AVI file to another AVI format using "AVIConverter CHN-EN Setup" program which i can't remeber where i found it, try google.. and convert AVI to AVI on and i have no problems now. try it and let me know how you go
Well you might not be able to find many sites as these formats aren't highly used by people posting videos. But if you go to this website you can get a few clips. Try searching in google too. It's pretty useful.
Yeah well if you convert it to wma then it will still have same quality but smaller size too.So try that.If you still get format error then format your player. It's most likely that you have a hacked player.Instructions on how to format your player can be found here.
