   I need a help here.
   DO I need a DVD writer if I want to burn my downloaded avi format to an MPEG2(DVD)format?
   I already encoded my avi file to an MPEg using TMPG.

   Yes you will need a dvd writer to burn that format try encoding to (svcd) Instead...
