I have some Music videos in mpeg format. When i try to burn these to dvd, the video is there but the sound isn't. Can anyone tell me why this might happen?
What program did you use to burn the dvd. What brand of DVDs did you use? You could try buring the disc at a slower rate like 4X rather than something like 16X to try to avoid errors. Which software did you use to author the mpeg files into vob bup and ifo files?
From other forums, no sound can be caused by the integrity of your disc, the player use use, or the program you have used to encode the mpeg files. Did you use just one program to encode the mpeg files to vob bup and ifo, and to burn the disc. I suggest you use Any Video Converter (freeware) to encode the files to mpeg 2 NTSC or PAL DVD video. Then use Curasoft's mp3 to DVD author to author the mpeg 2 DVD files from AVC to vob bup and ifo. After that, use DVD video burning software like Nero and put all your output bup vob and ifo in the VIDEO_TS folder. The AUDIO_TS can stay empty. Then click burn and remember to verify it at the end and burn it at a slow speed to aviod errors.
You will have to give us some more info...as mentioned..which prog did you use. As this is a Nero forum I assume you used Nero...thus being the case you do not need to convert the files, just use NeroVision as per this simple tute http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/356114/2104525
maybe need codec pack installed (mainly for sound) like AC3/MP3 k-lite mega codec pack try this...then use app. only guessing need more info... no sound on dvdr/pc or no sound in files on pc? or no sound on dvd stand alone player on TV ?
