I have heard that MPEG4 Audio will most likely become someday the streaming audio standard.

Does anyone know whether Nero 5.5 10 will encode an mp4 audio file that will play in the current Windows Media, RealOne and Apple Quicktime players?

Lastly, can that encoding be done at 20 to 32K streams and sound good?

    Thanks,

Nero encodes an MP4 files that is played by MP4 compliant players. There has been a WinAmp 2 plugin for quite some time (audiocoding.com), and other option like Foobar2000 too.

Can a 20 or 32k be good...well that depends on the definition of 'good', doesn't it. It aint going to be Hi-Fi, but it can deliver very good speech quality.
