Hi...I now know how to use dvdshrink to create the vob files and write a dvd using nero. however, now i have a replaytv 5000 series and can get the mpg files out of the unit. I have learned to use a program called pvastrumento to convert the sort of strange and hard-to-read mpegs from the replay into a more standard mpg file. Now I am not sure how to get this file onto the dvd. Do I need to use tmpgenc at this point to create the files nero needs? thanks...steve

I am reading a lot of questions like mine (perhaps I should have read more of the questions in this group first). I am still slightly confused, though, about which programs i need to use to get there. I am happy doing svcds as well but nero says that due to patent license restrictions mpeg2 conversions are not available...i wonder how much that plug=in costs...
