Multipass DivX Encoding Problems in VirtualDubMod

    I select Multipass, Nth Pass, configure the calculator, and then hit ok and try to save the avi. Then I get the error
    "Cannot start video compression:
    The source image format is not acceptable. (error code -2)"

    any ideas....
    (I was first writing this thread about xvid 2 pass but for no apparent reason it's working now[I think], but I still have a divx problem)

    Well, I don't just use VirtualDubMod for encoding that's stupid. I already know about gordian knot. The thing is...I'm using mod to edit some video add in subs and crap and then I want to encode it. So your trying to say that I should save it to an avi and then encode it again with gk? Now which way is the hard way?
