    Hi,

If what ur tryin to rip from is a program, then surely, somewhere in the software's program there will be the music file which the program uses. Not sure bout ripping it whilst the program is in use, but definately check out the installed files folder for any traces of music files.

My SoundBlaster card came with Creative Recorder. It will record any sound you are hearing from your speakers. Start recording before the sound you want and stop after you know its done. You will probably want to trim the beginning and end, but that can be done with any wave editor.

If you don't have a Creative Labs card, there should be a simple freeware utility somewhere that will do the same thing. Check download sites like Tucows.
