the best P2P app for music is soul seek...its users only share audio files, about 90% of while are high quality.

mainly mp3s, although from time to time I do see wma, ape, mp4, and flac. but most of the mp3 files are 192 kbps and higher, and most are VBR also which is nice

as far as older and individual songs go, this is the best P2P one for music there is, but as far as newer full albums go, bit torrents or IRC is still the best.

slsk is good for rare tunes, but speeds can be diabolical as you are only ever downloading from one peer.

oop? oh, out of print? LOL, just got it. possibly, any song or album I've wanted I have been able to find, but lethal is right, the average transfer rate is 10 to 15 KB, so you have to be patient...

LOL, should of put Out Of Print in brackets. If you download from Soul Seek can't people just put them on other sharing apps like BT, Limewire and E-mule?

sure I suppose so, but it still appears to me that the largest library of good music can be found on slsk.

What exactly are newsgroups? I've heard of them but haven't a clue on what they are.
