Hi all, am kinda newbie with all these stuff, am hoping for some help from here, i just received my eurovox box 2day, connect to my laptop and updated the firmware no problem, connect to the tv and pliugged in, my problem now is am getting no signal at all so i cant pick up any channels?? i was reading something about the hidden menu 1969 no idea what is that or how to get it, as i said my Quality is 0% and Level is 0% does that make any sense to you?? appreciate all the help!! Thanks in advance
Are you sure you are mmds? You might be chorus true cable, in which case you have the wrong box. There is a guy in another thread who lives in carrigaline who has a starview 3 but needs a box t. If you are true cable you might swap with him.
whats the mmds!! there is a cable out from the window and a little white adapter that have two outputs, one for the internet and one for the tv, if its not gonna work, u might tell me who is that guy to get the swap done
mmds there might be an aerial on the roof. cork is both chor*s mmds and true cable so can't be sure which you are. If you have broadband on it you are most likely true cable. Try pm'ing this guy, you could meet up and try both boxes in your house, that way you will know for sure. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/720810
well am sure there isnt any aerial in the roof!! what can i say cost me £150 and i cant use it now :-( defo i better talk to the guy and c what will happen, cheers mate!!
oh ya i know that, it is a coaxiale cable that plugged in at the back of the box, i was just explaining Evastar, how the connection of the chorus is hooked up in my house!! thnx for note man
The thing is, there isn't necessarily an arial on the roof with mmds, sometimes they have one and feed cable from it to a whole area, so you don't necessarily know by that. Sorry!
alrite fair enough, is there any other way i could find out y there is no signal!! is there something i can do or try??
What is the box you got from chor*s like, what does it say on it? Does it say dvb t or dvb c anywhere? As far as i know if you have broadband with them that means you are true cable and have the wrong box. Maybe someone else can confirm this?
i have two boxes in different rooms, one of the sagem it doesnt say anything, and the other is the UPC box recorder it doesnt say anything like DVB t or c, does that help??
Sorry i don't know, if Sc0user was here he could tell you. As i said as far as i know if you have broadband you are true cable. Edit: I don't know if this will help you. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/703021
fair enough, listen thanks very much u were very helpful i have pm the other guy for a swap hopefully that could work.. thanks a million
i have always been digital never was analouge, so i dont think that could apply to me, i dunno am totally confused now!!
Check the stickers underneath of the boxes. If you read ICD at the sagem and pace at the UPC box its true cable.
