Can any body help me please, I have a nokia 6230i on orange (UK). I tried unlocking my phone with the codes I got off a program on the net - The type where you put your imei number in. I must of had too many goes as now it just says "Cannot undo restriction". I have seen that you need a cable to unlock it but where do I get the software? All I want is my numbers out of it as I have upgraded...... Any help would be greatly appreciated........Chris.
Take your phone unlocked at a local market or small independant mobile shop, they will use expensive hardware to unlock, for a small fee about £15 cable and software are expensive.
Thanks for that, I dont want to seem like a scrooge but I dont really want to spend that as once I have got my numbers out of it I wont be using it again as I have just upgraded.....Chris
I know the serial number (357616007565171), I have been told that if I try a sim card from another network I may be able to remove the restriction that way. But what code do I put it?
Will not work, if that makes you happy you can try if you want. #pw+723000440152610+7# 1. Insert a non accepted sim, most times it will show "Phone Restricted" 2. Press the UNDO option 3. You should see a box that says enter restriction code. 4. Enter the code given and then press (OK)
