OK, I'm getting quite pissed. I plug in my phone (W810i or something) and absolutely nothing happens!! No I cant sync it with the software because .... nothing happens, it's like its not there. I'm going to be optimistic and assume it's a problem on my compys end and not the phone.. sigh

I don't even know what to troubleshoot here. I do think it's the P.C though because my G/F has lots of issues with her mp3 player.

Any ideas will be more than greatly appreciated.

I bought 810i yesterday and had no problems.
Make sure all software is installed, Make sure USB port is working, cuz as soon as u connect something to usb it should show up on computer. If not try other port. Don't know what else to say other than maybe the cable is not working.

Is telephone charging when u connect to usb ?

    It's gotta be the cable..

All the USB ports work fine. It'll pick up an MP3 player no problem.

I'm thinking it's the USB cable
if other things are gettin picked up by the computer and ports are fine what else can it b ?
U don't need no software installed for anything when u connect something to USB. It will detect something is connected to a port and will let u know, after that u install software, get it runin........

    It's gotta b the cable

Agreed, it should pick up the phone and memory card, drivers or no drivers... SOMETHING should happen when I plug it in.

not sure if this will help you or not, but once its connected then go to device manager and click scan for hardware changes and it might detect it then. i have to do that for my ipod to work sometimes.
