Well Thorazine is quite different, but all still messed up. I hope the prescription future calms down. People are geting way too many drugs for stuff that could be delt with by simple thought meditation. Walk up, sit at breakfast and just think out your day. So much better then the medication nightmare. Good to see you guys have come down. But a serious word of warning, you should not just stop. Most drugs need to be slowly cut out of the system. A cold turkey approach can be deadly with Neuro and Heart drugs.

I learned that the hard way when I stopped taking Imipramine cold turkey. I was young and stupid at the time.

Drugs are only for people who don't have a brain. It's your fusking life, you should be in control of it. Sure, if you love drugs so much, pop a pill a week, but don't let it get control over you. You'll turn out into a trainwreck and probably die/mess up your body in the end.

I would never take the type of drugs that help me from stress etc. Because you know why? I already take a drug 24/7. It's called enjoying your life.

It's been around for a long time. Sometimes people die of that drug too. Because they were enjoying themselves too much and had a nasty accident.

Well I wouldn`t go that far. Some drugs really do help people. Best examples are the strong anti inflamitory drugs, Cancer drugs and other disease drugs. When I was working at a pharmacetical company, they developed one drug that allowed people who could not leave the bed do to inflamation pain, enjoy life again. So some are good.

But as for stress the best thing is sleep if you can get it or running if you can`t sleep. A simple 20 km run can really make you free good. After 5km you get hit with endorphins (the second wind) and an all new relaxation hits. Exercise really can help more than anything else.

The point about exercise is really true. It's supposed to be the best therapy for depression for many people. Unfortunately we have a medical culture where the first reaction to just about anything is to prescribe drugs.

Funny how I turned this into a Medical thread.

Without question, Alcohol and caffee are almost manditory. But not too excess. Also Ascorbic acid doesn't hurt either. Thats one acid I get a lot of.

hehe more like weed and xanax and valium and vicodin. I dont drink anymore (sober 12 years now, yaay me), and with 4 kids you gotta have something to take the edge off. I fully understand why lions eat thier young.

Walk a day in my shoes, pally. Idealism's great when you know nothing of what some people go through.

I was on paxil for a while, until little deeman wouldn't salute anymore. I switched to zoloft needless to say. But, I prefer the homemade prozac. It involves a huge salami sandwich and vanilla ice cream. I discovered this concauction one day after my girlfried left me. After the homemade prozac I couldn't have given a shit less if she got hit by a bus. Hooray, I was cured!

drchips, that was funny. I can remember hearing that before on comedy thing on CBC. Good jokes.

Praxil, is one of the worst drugs. Over prescribed and terrible side effects. I would recomend get off that one.

You know what's a good drug? Vitamin C circular tablets. Love the way they make water into Tango.

Thats why I had Vitamin C in my drug list. Ascorbic acid = Vitamin C, but sounds cooler.
Is Tango like tang, but with a kangoroo.

geez, for a thread that started from me just wanting to bable on a bit, it sure has turned into a medical thread, but thast ok, no topic was ever really intended anyways so feel free to carry on. I only eat flintstone vitamins, but only because i get some sort of twisted joy from biting the head off of barney rubble.
