Just wanted to know if anyone had a suggestion on MYDVD program replacement. It came on my Media Center PC when I bought it. I had been recording movies and TV shows from my TV to my PC and then using it to burn on to a DVD for watching later. Well my hard drive decided it did not want to work and more and crashed. I reinstalled all my restore discs just like I was supposed to. Now when I try to use MYDVD and import a TV show into it it gets to the end and says no available codec. I have tried this many times and even upgraded some of the software to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good program that will allow me to import my files into it and then convert into Mpeg format and then burn to DVD. I appreciate any help.
Well, if it says 'codecs', then maybe you're missing some. Try download and install K-Lite Codec Pack (full or mega version): http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm Good luck!
