NAGRA 3 Rollout In Ireland - Channels Affected So Far

So lads have I got this right?

NTHell are now beginning to move their channels from Nagra 2 to Nagra 3 encryption (as can be seen with no access to footy channels, NASN & the cheap slumdog po*n channels). Once they to this we will have to wait for new firmware as there's nothing out there yet that we can do?

At the moment there are no code cracks for Nagra 3 but the Kryptviews are working - because they are Linux based??? Is that right???

Finally, what genetic make-up are the Eurovox's?

 

only got a couple back paramount comedy plus 1 rte1 3e so far, help im missing me history channel

Start a new thread or search for your solution on the forum, also if you are starting a new thread please put in the model of box, what exactly is wrong, what you have done to try fix it, what firmware you are on, provider, etc!

No they are moving from Nagra1 to Nagra3, but have a temporary Nagra2 stream which the Kryptview is using, Kryptview isnt linux based its closed source so I think all the software is wrote in-House

 

You shouldn't mixup nagra2 and nagra3.
The UPC target is to move completly to nagra3. Nobody cracked a N3 card till now.
UPC installed the thomson pvr boxes and upc media boxes with nagra2 cards in the past. The kryptview box is able to handle N2 via keys from a cracked N2 card.
After the last subscriber with a N2 card got a N3 card UPC will switch off also N2 and the game is over for every box.

lets face it the starviews,kryptviews ect.will lose thousands in lost revenue through no sales of boxes.iam sure they are beavering away to fix the problem.yes it might be a new box time once sorted,but thats a small price to pay,for what you get.i for one have faith in the people in the know.

 

Simply take a look whats going on in the outer world. Spain and Portugal both got N3 cards in 2007 and there is no crack known.

 

Very true, its used widely across European satellite with no breakthrough(Roumers but no working EMUs to show for it)

It is being introduced across the USA at the moment, and while the bigger audience is exposed to it the more likely of a breakthrough, for the meantime its game over.

And in regards to maybe needing a new box, forget about that with no EMUs it dosnt matter if you had a supercomputer with a tuner, it simple wont decode.

 

someone was clever enough to put n3 together,so someone will be clever enough to crack or leak it!!think of the massive payday for the person/s that solve it,but as stated the more and more they use n3 the more and more profitable it becomes to crack it.there is always a solution to any problem!

 

Why do you never saw a working NDS crack for Sky? Because card cracking is so easy?

there does not seem to be any room for me to make any input as you seem to have all the angles covered no matter what anyone says you always come back with the same reply wait till N3 comes well when it comes bring it on that's all i have to say it will be a while yet before they do switch over fully so let the people or the NOOBS as you call them enjoy what they have for the moment and lets worry about N3 when it is fully implemented 12 channels is hardly the end of the world there is another 120 more there to watch how long is the 12 channels gone now 2 weeks and no more has gone so there's another 2 weeks they have to enjoy there tv not everyone watches the porn channels or the sport channels it is after taking them a month and a half to implement the change of 12 channels to N2 so there is still plenty of time to enjoy the viewing i say long live the cable boxes

no sky is rubbish,the movies are old,the sport is ok,and the rest is garbage.but you can get 3pm football and all others live easy from the uk on sat and if all else fails there is always live internet feeds for free,just hook up the pc to tv and enjoy.if its sport you are into as me there are plenty of other sats than astra with live sport and a fraction of the cost of skysports that show teams other than man utd and liverpool live 3pm!!!
