THE ONLY BOX THAT HAS RELEASED FIRMWARE FOR THE PROBLEM IN IRELAND IS THE KRYPTVIEW

SO IF ANYONE ELSE SAYS THERE IS SOFTWARE TO FIX THE BOXES THE ARE TRYING TO SCAM YOU

IF THERE WAS FIRMWARE OUT DO YOU NOT THINK WE WOULD ALL KNOW ABOUT IT AND WHY PAY FOR SOMETHING THAT CAN BE HAD FOR FREE

hows it going fergusb, well no of the boxes are affected yet in cork, but guess will be intime,i do know alot of people that pay the basic package with cho**S,but use the box etc,but they reckon that they will move to s*y when nagra3 rolls in here,i reckon that ch***s will suffer big time financially in cork when this rolls out,it will be the opposite to what they think will happen,my opinion for what its worth, you mention the kryptview are you saying that this will work with nagra 3?

no mate that will not happen with the packages that chorus have now phone broadband and the tv in a package they will not switch to sly

as the prices for sly towards the package that chorus offers there is no contest they will win hands down mate no problem

well the kryptview is working 100% now on all the effected channels so i leave that up to you to decide

And we were all told the only boxes that would survive, would be linux based, funny that the kryptview is the only box that has come up with a fix for ireland.Time will tell how long it will last as most people are sayin its only gone to N2 not N3 yet.But you gotta take off your hat to the kryptview team, for coming up with a fix so fast.

Yes they will probably follow,so i wouldnt be binning your box yet as has been suggested, and as no box even linux boxes, can work on N3 yet as we have been told, lets hope they dont fully change over for a while yet.

Maybe one day Nagra 3 will be hacked but I think free cable as we have come to know it is a thing of the past - for a long time anyway. Card sharing will be the way forward from now on. Rather than focusing on hacking Nagra 3 I think we should be more focused on making card sharing more widely available and accessible for everyone. As connecting to the internet becomes easier and more and more people get connected I think we will see some light at the end of the tunnel. People are already card sharing Nagra 3 by the sound of it, so technology will evolve which makes it cheaper and simpler to access the channels we desire. As the internet grows, more and more people share their knowledge and experiences for the greater good - free tv for all, thereby reducing gap between the rich and the poor. Even if the difference it makes is only miniscule, its more a matter of principal.

Hi all, if Nag 2 has been compromised and is being used as a stop gap measure until the full roll out of Nag 3 then the Kryptview update must have the Nag 2 keys embedded. edited by ddp

I dont think St*rview makers sit back and see they are loosing the business. the new software will come up soon (hopefully) this is not a big issue. I remmeber I had a humax receiver and I upgraded to the freeky firmwares for thousend times. it never stops.

I have been informed that the reason the setanta channels are gone is because upc owe them money and haven't paid up, that is why setanta have withdrawn their channels, they have not been changed over to nagra 3.

Can anyone confirm this or see if they know anyone that has lost them even if they were paying for them?

WHAT EVER YOU DO _ DONT RE-SACN

I rescanned my *view and all I get now is a few FTA channels and on my Sly channels all I get is Data being updated...

So I think we have come to an end of the good old days... Lets hope the powers that be can come up with a fix/replacement quick

Ye have my full backing and Im keeping the faith!!!!
