the M3 miniSD is what you plug into the GBA port of the DS, it is what has all the hardware to run your DS games off the miniSD card.

You will still need your 6in1 reader to put the games on the miniSD card.

So if the mini Sd goes in the M3 then what is the Passcard3 for and is the M3 adapter a card reader?

I quess my main question is do I really need the M3? Because I thought the M3 was a card reader that you hook up to you computer to transfer games and the mini SD goes inside the passcard3 and into the ds slot. I'm all mixup

No, you put the miniSD in the M3, and the M3 in the GBA slot of the DS.

The M3 contins all the hardwrae required to play the DS games from the miniSD card.

The Passcard is only used to tell the DS to run DS code from the GBA slot.

You will need a seperate card reader to connect the miniSD card to the computer.

Last question I have my old gameboy advance memory flash card and reader that I once used years ago do you think that it can play in the ds because it is backwards compatible and it should read it like a Gb advance.

You can definetly use that for GBA games, but old gba flash carts can have problems if you try to play DS games on them, I cannot go into detail though, as i never owned one.

If it's only DS games you want to play, you might want to look at getting the EZIV and a miniSD or microSD depending what version you get.

    microSD is smaller than miniSD.
microSD is also known as Transflash.

The difference between the EZIV that uses miniSD and the EVIV Lite that uses microSD is that the EZIV Lite fits perfectly in the DS Lite and the EZIV fits perfectly in the old style DS.

Left is SD, followed by miniSD then microSD.

    Try winsunx.com for prices.

EZIV and EZ4 are the same, IV is 4.

    You'll also need a Passcard3 like with the M3.

Some of the Passcard3's won't work with EZIV. Apparently, there's a new revision of that and the SuperKey out that locks out the EZIV (again). Just get the EZPass3 to avoid any compatibility problems.

EZIV Lite uses microSD. Read the guide I have up for more info on it.

Also, my brother loves using it with his DS Lite, so I'd say it's a good purchase.
