i don't mean to steal anyone's thunder and i truly thank everyone in this thread who posted possible solutions for me. but i tried them all and none worked out. but now i got mine to work so thought i'll share my solution, too.

so anyways, this solution is so simply, it's stupid of me really. but i was in the same boat as Shined. I bought my R4SDHC card off Divineo.com. I was totally misled into thinking it was an upgraded version of the original, as they put the creators (still) as the R4 Team. anyway, like i said, i tried everything and was ready to rip my hair out. so i decided to go back to square 1. i went to the divineo site and under support it actually says...

"If your R4 gets stuck at the "Loading..." screen: ttp://r4-new.com/download-en.htm You need the NEW 1.50 version. You must extract and copy ALL the files on the MicroSD card. Make sure you delete your old files first."

haha...yea that's that. but thanks to everyone! i learned a lot more about r4 cards thanks to this thread! i was stupid and decided to give these away as xmas presents this year. i'm about 2 months late for these xmas presents as a result. i wish they would make the original r4 again...it was so easy. i will love and treasure my original so much more now!

 

make sure you format the memory card to do this go to mycomputer right click the meory card and select format this takes a minute then put the correct files on it and it should work perfect. got ine from SPAM removed very fast de;ivery if anyone is looking to get one

 

My card was working fine since Christmas, until my daughter went to use it yesterday and it got stuck on the "loading" screen. Looked at the memory of the SD card and it was completely empty. I have reformatted the memory card, downloaded R4SDHC v 1.25, and it just won't be moved onto the SD card. Should I give up and try a new SD card? Am I being dense??

 

Try using Panasonics sd formatter, this will completely format the card, if this program cannot format it then the card could be dead. If you can format you should be able to load files on to it

Hey everyone i bought an r4 from kick store it took 3 months to come, lol. So i found a new site www.GameTechUK.co.uk. Bought 5 from there and they were all sdhc and worked fine, only £19.99. YAY.

 

But you can buy the far superior M3 Real for less

Why buy the R4????

 

Pugg, thank you SO much for your help. After reading through the threads on this forum I was completely thrown, didn't understand any of the computer speak and was on the verge of throwing the R4 away. I loaded the file you sent me on the chip and it was working immediately - thanks again. I can now take long family drives with 3 kids happily playing games or watching their own films on their DS's without the normal war that normally breaks out when having to decide on 1 film between them on the DVD player! Can't thank you enough!

 

HELP, I'm getting Frustrated. got my R4 revolution for DS last week from Divineo and bought a Duracell Micro Sd Card (2G), I'm stuck on the loading screen like many others, I've tried donloading the 1.50 version that Divineo suggests (http://r4-new....) and the site isn't even up and running.
I've read through every posting on this thread and everything is a blur....please help

Hi Puggwash, hope you can help me with this. I have an R4-III SDHC (Upgrade)for a few weeks now and am using V3.07 software, which is the correct version. I'm using a 2Gb (memorytogo) memory card and it has only 10 games on it. It was working OK but now I seem to have problems loading games. When I select a game form the displayed list the blue loading icon on the bottom left of the screen freezes up. If I turn the DS (original version) off/on the game might load the second or third time, sometimes they can load the first time. Is this just a symptom of a buying this type of card as I see other card types are reccommened.

 

As it has been working - I would suggest the paper shim trick

If you put a folded piece of paper bahind the flashcart to push it tighter on to the pins of the ds

This cures a lot of intermittant issues.

Hey, my dad got a R4 SDHC card for my little brother annd its stuck on the black and white loading screen.
I've downloaded R4 v1.23 and put it on there but it didnt do anything diffrent (i tryed downloading v1.22 but always went to another pagee with asian writing on it)

I have a R4 ds card aswell, mine works fine but i tryed putting my SD card into my brothers R4 SDHC card but it was still stuck on the loading screen.. i tryed putting his SD card in my R4 card and it still went to the loading screen which makes me think that my brothers actual R4 SDHC card doesnt work all together >___<

Does anyone know whats wrong with it?

How about you have a different R4, there are now 13 types, see the site in my signature and try a few with SDHC in the title
