NDSL R4 SDHC 2GB/4GB Loading Screen (**NO Email posting or banned**)

Please Pugg I have a R4 SDHC Upgrade, Im literally crying because its stuck on the loading screen and thats it, My email is *email removed* if you have any suggestions please say because I am so desperate!

my r4 sdhc worked for like 2 weeks but then it stoped working and ive tried everything and it goes to normal ds lite menu

Ok, I had the same issue as everyone else with Kingston 8Gb SDHC card and one of the R4 SDHC clones - formatting it with the Panasonic formatting utility sorted me out... not only did it fix the hang on startup, but it made the read/write to the card in Windows MUCH faster.

 

PUGWASH, YOU SEEM TO BE THE ANSWER TO MY PRAYERS,I HAVE A SDHC R4-III UPGRADE FLASHCART(BLACK BOX), USING TH 3.08 FIRMWARE BUT I CAN'T GET PAST THE LOADING SCREEN,I HAVE TRIED 3.07, 3.09 & 3.10 AS WELL AS MY ORIGIONAL 1.18(FOR ANOTHER R4 CARD) I HAVE BEEN BROWSING THE WEB FOR DAY'S LOOKING FOR ANSWERS PLEASE HELP

To all those reading Kittymat is right, R409 is out to get you to buy. Now that is ok if you want it but this site is not for that reason.

Hi pug.. i`m having problems with r4i-sdhc from the site www.r4i-sdhc.com

i tried so many firmwares but when i turn the ds lite with the r4i it stops in a screen with a red micro sd and it says ?MENU

Hey Pug, I'm having problems.
I just got my card and I'm past the loading screen, but for some reason when i go to select the games it freezes, it won't move up or down, and I can't go back to the Main Menu either.

Also when I try going into Multimedia and running the game from there it gives me a message that says
"Application halted !!
Please refer [/moonshl2/logbuf.txt]"
And stays frozen there.

More info: My card if formatted as FAT32
and I have a 2GB Kingston SD card.

Hey Pugg, not sure if I should expect to hear back from you looks like you are very busy guy Just had a quick question. I have an official original r4ds card with a 2 gig sd card. I am running a DS lite. Now I upgraded to the unofficial (hacked) 1.19 firmware because of compatibility issues with some of the newer games. Everything went fine and it is working great. What I wanted to know was if there was any other firmware out there that will work for the official r4ds card that will enable me to use sdhc cards. I would love to throw a 4 - 8 gig card in there as my son has pretty much maxed out his 2 gig with games and music and I would rather not have him hassle with multiple sd cards. Any info or files you could send me would be great. Thanks a lot for the help and I hope to hear from you soon.

Hello everyone, if you have a R4 SDHC Upgrade which is stuck on the loading screen go to www.r4i-sdhc.com go to downloads select language and make sure if its on the ds select the links on the right hand side.

I am mega confused! I also have the stuck at loading problem.
How do I know which type of R4 card I have?

The box says R4 revolution for DS (NDSL/NDS), I tried reading the pins and I think it says RDHS CARD-/A The box had no set up CD.

I have tried 1.22 and 1.18 updates but no joy . I have a 2GB sandisk micro sd card. I also need to wedge a bit of paper to make caontact on the R4 card.

My ds lite is fairly new UEH16731629.

I'm at my wits end lol!

To all those people out there that do not know, your DS can either be used for playing Games or if you get bored you can watch videos (Music or movies) at your leisure.

If anyone out there wants to know how to perform this on your DS, drop me a message as well as any other DS problems and I will be more than happy to resolve.

I know alot of the younger generation are now converting to DS for the simple reason of too expensive Games from the shop, so they are buying the R4 card instead.
Now you can have it all with a simple software update on your Pc and wow, your video is on your DS.

Loaded Kernal from r4ultra.com - got loading screen freeze
Loaded Moonshell 2.0 - Still loading screen freeze

The biggest issue with the R4 is the number of different cards all needing different firmware's.

The general rules to eliminate most issues are,

1) Format your micro SD with Panasonics SD formatter (free, use Google to find) and use it each time you change the firmware.

2) Download your firmware and extract it straight on to the SD (not onto the PC then transfer)

3) Try the available firmware's - http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/ hosts them all, start with the likely candidates and work your way through

4) Ensure the SD is seated correctly in the R4 before putting into the DS

5) At this stage do not add any roms - get it past the loading screen first.

Hey Pug,finally found you ... I'm having problems and I hope you can help? This is driving me mad !!!

I have a Nintendo DS (Black), R4-SDHC Upgrade Revolution for DS (NDSL/NDS) with 8gb Kingston micro SD card.

I have reformatted the scandisk and installed the correct software (R4 English V1.08b). When I switch on the DS it loads up well and into the main menu screen providing three options (1) games (2) Multimedia (3) Config. At this point all the DS buttons work find and I am able to scroll right to left.

However when I go into Games (pressing the B button) I can view the first four games but I am unable to load any of the games up or scroll up or down to try an different games, and I cant go back to the main menu. It's basically stuck.

Any ideas ???

Also when I try going into Multimedia and running the game from there again I can view the moonmemo, moonshl2 and R$imenu folders. I can also view and scroll down to all the loaded games. However when I try to load any of the games is simply get a message on the top screen stating "Application halted !!Please refer [/moonshl2/logbuf.txt]"
and it stays frozen there.
