I try to use NERO, 120% Alcohol, and DVD Decrypter to burn DVD, none of them are success. i use 8x verbatim DVD+R.i try to burn .ISO game, some Data (Pictures), all did not work. the firmware i have is 1.04. I try to upgrade to firmware 1.25, still did not work.

    Please give me some advises!!

The Burning software stop at the middle of the burning process.

OK, what program are you using to rip your movie (put it on the hard drive)? What does the error say when it errors out? What kind of media are you using? Check out the guides in my sig, also the newbies link in my sig. They're all pretty informative.

    Hi there,

Your motherboard does have USB v2.0 right ?

What speed are you burning those Media ?

    Firmware v1.04 isn't the latest for the NEC-3520A ?

Father is law just bought the 3520A and I was sure it was the latest.
You sure this v1.25 is for this drive ? Or are you trying to install a HACK Firmware ?

    from http://www.necus.com

--> ND-3520a: The estimated availabilty date is May 1, 2005.

Posting Nero logs may help other Nero GURUs see what is going on, on your PC while you burn and get those errors.

    Good luck !

taken from Newbies link in my sig:

<1>Why am I getting I/O or CRC errors while ripping my original DVD
I/O Errors are NOT bugs!!!! (well, not 99.99999% of the time anyway)
An I/O Error is a way of displaying a problem your drive had with the disc or your system config (mainly a disc problem though). Unrecovered read errors, Seek errors, Servo errors, Focusing errors, ECC errors, CIRC Unrecovered errors etc. are all your drives way of saying "I don't like this disc". Clean the disc, update your drives firmware (http://www.rpc1.org), try it in another drive, and get another copy.

Try different media. Your burner doesn't seem to want to get along with your media.
