Yeah, you can throw that Seagate in, but you will need to format it first in the X3 bios under the "Disc" option. You should most definitely copy your files from your original HD to your computer, and then back onto your formatted upgraded HD. But you do not have to do this, it is just nice to get the files on your old HD to your new one. If you do not, the only thing you will not be able to do is play w/ your modchip turned off (you will get errors if you try to), which is ok seeing that the only reason you need to turn your modchip off is to play online, and if you do that with an upgraded HD you will most likely get banned anyway.

The error 13 you get when you hold down the power button means there is something wrong w/ your original dashboard, so you may need to get something like slayers and burn that onto a disc and load the original dashboard on your upgraded HD. Slayers is super easy to use, and you don't have to FTP anything over to your Xbox then.

I'm glad to here that you help others out after you learn new material! If we had more people like you I wouldn't have to work so hard to try and help people out :) It's addicting though, helping people out, it makes you feel pretty good after you help somebody through something... The old lady doesn't like it much however, haha

haha, everyone seems to have the same problem you do, and they get so scared. All you have to do is go into [bold]"X3 Config Live"[/bold] [bold]"Customize X3 bios"[/bold] and then make sure that [bold]"Auto Start X3 Config Live"[/bold] is [bold]disabled. [/bold]

    [bold]Some basic info[/bold].
If you ever want to get back into your Config Live screen, hold the white button down while your Xbox boots up. Also, if you want to ever go back to your dashboard when playing a game on your upgraded HD, press and hold R+L+Back+Start.

You pretty much have the basics down for upgrading to a new HD.

[bold]1)[/bold] Transfer all of your C: and E: files from your original Xbox HD using FlashFXP

[bold]2)[/bold] Format your new HD in X3's config live under the "disc options"

[bold]3)[/bold] If you have a larger HD than 160GB, make sure to choose "F drive gets 137, and G drive gets the rest" Otherwise, just choose "F drive gets all"

[bold]4)[/bold] Use FlashFXP to go back into your Xbox, and send your C: and E: files into your C: and E: of your upgraded HD.

    [bold]Thats it![/bold]

Let me know if you have any problems.

Search for "Slayers" on the internet (Xbox-Scene preferabbly) and DL that. I believe it is a torrent that is floating around. Or, you can get the official DL to that torrent off of #xbins.

Then, once you have slayers, burn the ISO to a disc and load it up w/ your Xbox. You should load on all of the apps and dashboard things from it to your Xbox HD. It will give you a crap load of programs, and will also give you emulators and dashboards.

Thanks a lot buddy for the compliments! I'm glad I could help you out. Make sure to pass on your knowledge to others now....

Hello Janrocks, First off did you download FlashFXP? If you search the forums on this great site you will find plenty of guides on how to connect your x-box to your pc through FlashFXP:)
